Want to brighten up your mornings? Nothing quite lifts a dark morning than the warm glow of candle light. Cosy up, and embrace the late mornings and early evenings. Hot drinks, a good book (perhaps even a tv series or two) and a candle to match.

The natural beauty around us.

Take a moment to notice all of the beauty around you. Bursting into the new year are beautiful, bright daffodils. They decorate the hedgerows in January here at the Lizard, with an abundance of other wild flowers too. Get your wellies on and take on the weather to discover the burst of colour along the footpaths. If open, why not buy some fresh daffodils locally, nothing brightens the darkest of days, and gives hope of Spring quite like daffodils at home.

Awaken the senses. Those short days are slowly drawing out, so why not take on walking and go on a sunrise or sunset walk. Layer up, and embrace the weather. There’s nothing quite like a wild, wind swept walk to awaken the sense.

Stargazing in January.

Look up this January and discover the brightest planets. Spend time gazing up, where during the darkest months, you won’t need to stay up late to see the beautiful night skies. This time of year is spectacular for stargazing, where particular planets are shining all the more brightly. Mercury should make its first evening appearance of 2021 on the evening of January 10. It should be visible in the afterglow of sunset, forming a triangle with Jupiter and Saturn.
