This year has been certainly been challenging. We’d really like to thank all of our guests for your continued support and understanding during this strange, and unsettling time.

Introducing our upcoming event, ‘Gatsby’s Gamble’ an immersive Murder Mystery experience, here at Lizard Point. Set around a three course dinner at Fallowfields, watch closely the plot unfold in front of you…and be in the chance to uncover the mystery first.

It is with a very heavy heart, we have made the difficult decision to temporarily close our hotel for the coming two weeks. Due to a localised spread we are left sadly under staffed at this time. We will go into temporary ‘hibernation’ after the breakfast shift on Thursday 8th October, and reopen at lunchtime on Friday 23rd October.

The leaves are turning golden, the log fire is getting lit as the nights are slowly drawing in. It is time to slow down, unwind, and enjoy this beautiful time of year.

Our wine of the week is our Sauvignon Blanc, Polgoon, Cornwall 2019. With hints of lime, passionfruit and pineapple, with a distinctly Cornish minerality provided by the granite based soil.

A roast dinner is more than a meal loved my many, for our head chef Joseph Fallowfield “Sunday lunch is a time for nostalgia, family favourites and classic puddings that everyone enjoys” and we couldn’t agree more.

Over lockdown we’ve been busy keeping our garden healthy and growing over Spring, going into Summer. We planted new ingredients from thyme to mint and ensured all our usual seasonal flowers bloomed.

Exciting news - We are now offering takeaway cream teas. 

Collect from Housel Bay and takeaway with you to the beach, for a walk along the South West Coastal Path, or even to enjoy at home.

Getting out into nature is a really positive and effective way to calm our minds, particularly in times of social distancing where we can’t seek our habitual forms of stress release.
